Big Timber Tree Services was engaged by Winslow Civil and Construction to deliver roadside vegetation clearing works at Elimbah, supporting the installation of critical underground utility infrastructure as part of a major civil construction project. The works involved the selective clearing and removal of roadside vegetation to establish safe and accessible work corridors within a road reserve environment, where close coordination with the broader project team was essential to keeping the construction programme on track.
Utility infrastructure projects rely on timely vegetation clearing to provide safe access and establish construction corridors. Working within an active road reserve required careful traffic management, coordination with Winslow’s project team and efficient delivery across an extended linear scope. The corridor needed to be cleared, processed and handed over promptly so that downstream utility installation activities could proceed without delay to the broader construction programme.
We mobilised with the equipment and crew suited to a linear roadside clearing scope and worked in close coordination with Winslow’s project management team throughout delivery. Vegetation was cleared and processed progressively along the corridor, with material managed on site to minimise disruption to adjacent road users and infrastructure. Safety management was maintained throughout, with SWMS, daily pre-starts and traffic management measures in place from the first day of works. We kept the programme tight and communicated proactively with the Winslow team at every stage.
The Elimbah utility corridor was cleared and handed over to Winslow Civil and Construction on schedule, providing the access required for utility installation works to proceed without delay. The project demonstrated Big Timber’s capability to deliver reliable, well-coordinated vegetation clearing as part of a broader civil construction programme, and reinforced our relationship with Winslow as a trusted subcontractor for linear infrastructure scopes.
